Certifications

Quilts of Denmark A/S is known around the world for our high quality. This applies not only to the materials our products are made from, but also to the way we handle and process them. That is why we are proud of the many important certifications we hold. They provide reassurance — both to us and, even more importantly, to our customers — that our products meet a wide range of established standards.

Go to sleep with a peace of mind

We ensure the health and quality of our products and that the animals have been treated ethically and responsibly.

Quilts of Denmark collaborates with various independent organizations to ensure the health and quality of our products and that the animals have been treated ethically. That’s why our duvets and pillows are provided with several different certifications and labels, which are a guarantee that they comply with all laws and keep their promises.

We are a member of the European Down & Feather Association (EDFA). EDFA is the European organization that develops regulations and standards to ensure that the product qualities promised to customers are met.

DOWNPASS 2017

The Downafresh® certification ensures that the products meet the cleanliness and hygiene requirements of the European standard EN12935. Downafresh greenline logo
Downafresh® greenLine

Duvets and pillows with natural fillings can be labeled with the Downafresh greenLine label. Down and feathers are a purely natural material that comes from a gentler production process. The Downafresh greenLine brand variation means that the filling in products labeled with this trademark has been processed according to environmental criteria.

What does it mean?

Down and feathers are a natural product. Due to their natural properties, they have outstanding thermal insulation properties and are perfect for filling duvets and pillows. They keep the sleeper warm with very little weight. Down and feathers are not industrially produced, but are a purely natural material. They do not harm the environment and can be easily recycled. They are thoroughly washed with water and dried at temperatures of at least 100°C to meet the hygienic requirements defined in the European standard EN 12935. During the processing of these feathers and down, only cleaning agents are used to preserve the natural properties of the filling. Manufacturers using Downafresh greenLine are required to have their products regularly tested by an independent testing laboratory to verify compliance with hygiene and cleanliness requirements and to ensure that the environment is taken into account. www.downafresh.com

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

OEKO-TEX® standard 100 is an international and voluntary product control. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is available in product classes from 1 to 4. The groups have different limit values for the permitted amounts of various residual chemicals in the finished product. On our duvets and pillows we use Class 1, which has the strictest requirements.www.oeko-tex.com

OEKO-TEX® has updated its logo in 2022. You will therefore be able to find materials and products with both the old logo and the new logo for a period of time. The certification and meaning have not changed.

The label ensures transparency throughout the entire supply chain and makes it possible to trace the product’s journey — from raw material to finished textile. www.oeko-tex.com
